James Castle Publications: 10,000 Lives, Gwangju Biennale
The James Castle Collection and Archive maintains James Castle’s collection of drawings, handmade books and constructions, in addition to his tools, supplies, source materials, and his cottage studio, as well as family photographs and historical documents.
The mission of the James Castle Collection and Archive is to cultivate and preserve Castle’s artistic legacy, make artwork available for exhibition to non-profit institutions, and place his work in museum collections throughout the world. The collection also consigns artwork directly to select galleries in the U.S. and abroad for exhibition and sale.
Located in Boise, Idaho, the James Castle Collection and Archive is accessible by appointment to curators, scholars, writers and educators interested in the work of James Castle.
